Hong Kong Trip Part One

If you have been following me on Twitter, you would know I was in Hong Kong instead of KL this Chinese New Year.. and if you're an avid reader (which i dont think i have any lah fml nvm now i tell you) I've always been away for Chinese New Year, Dad made it a habit to bring us all for a vacation at that time of the year every year because it's the only time where all of us are free..

*starts imagining all the angpaos i've missed all these years*

Back to where I was.. So yeah, Hong Kong it is this year! I was there for five nights, six days. Would love to blog about all the six days in details but *honestly* I'm lazy so I'm just gonna spam picts wtf and try my best to insert some captions, which is considered very good already for someone so lazy like me. ALSO, if you can't stand seeing so many vain pictures of me you can close this page now. Don't say I never warn a bit cos I really think I camwhore too much!

We got hungry so we went around looking for food to fill our tummies and surprisingly even after 12 midnight, it's still crowded in this restaurant which I forgot the name fml all I remember is the food wasn't quite good

Second day. GOOD MORNING HONG KONG! Weather was 7 degree there and I was freezing my *imaginary* balls off because the internet says it'll be around 16! Anyway, it was the coldest CNY in HK in 16 years.. Guess no one expected it.

Not usually a fan of congee but this is damn good and I can't stop stuffing them in my mouth plus the fried bread sticks (you tiao) is the best you tiao I've ever had. SO CRISPY! Seriously, I can't remember where I had my food because 1) I can't read Chinese and their shops names are all in Chinese and 2) I get too excited when I see food and didn't bother to ask Dad where am I lol

I don't fancy shoes so what else would I be doing other than this right. #02 Received flowers after a super long time, it's dead here cos I only bother to snap a picture after weeks wtf

#07 Finally got the chance to meet up with best friends which I only get to see them once/ twice a year!

Final Day Of 2011,

I'm sitting here in front of my laptop in the afternoon of new year's eve, trying to fill something in this space before the year ends and really, I don't know where or how should I start wtf don't wanna reminiscence because to be perfectly honest, 2011 isn't a good year for me. BUT I'm gonna do it anyway wtf *inserts sadface.jpg*

In conclusion, in 2011, things that matter most, didn't turn out well. Mostly everything backfired. Been disappointed for too many times but still trying hard to fight for what I want. Never thought of giving up but things just gets a little too tough sometimes, and sometimes, I really do question my existence. Oh well...........

But one thing I learnt this year is that, don't waste time looking back and regretting what happened, look forward and start making things happen. That's the first step to creating a better reality.

Do I look forward to 2012? Partly yes, because it's a new year and everything bad that happened in 2011, stays there but partly no because a new year doesn't always mean a new beginning. But it's not like I can do anything about it. Just keeping my fingers crossed and hope for a better year. 2012 will be better than 2011, because I will be happier in 2012. Said that last year, saying this again this year.

Can't believe 2011 is over, in a blink of an eye. It's been such a tough year.

Anyway, we celebrated Sin Yee's birthday at Gardens Lifestyle Store & Cafe at Mid Valley yesterday night. It was nice to see everyone again and really glad Sin Yee enjoyed it eventhough it was nothing grand.

Went down to Pavilion with Vittoria in the afternoon, caught in this crazy jam but still managed to support Wuan Ru for her flash-mob, met Elicia after donkey years of not seeing each other, took lots of crappy videos, saw all the 148 United Buddy Bears, met Jimmy Choo, sudden crave for japanese food (satisfied!), usual yamcha with the bunch, crashed Chai Nee's house at 2 in the morning.

Lazy update but yeap, that pretty much sums up my whole Saturday.

Far East Movement Live in Malaysia 2011

I wanted to blog about this immediately the next day but I was so sick, literally puking out everything I ate up to a point where I got sick of eating and then ended up puking it out anyway so I stop eating and only had water the entire day but guess who puked water too? FML. But you know what's worse? It's when after you go through all these shits, your weight still remains the same. wtf.

I've never been to this outlet of OverTime at Pavilion, but courtesy of Sirens Media, I was there two days ago and had a chance to not only dine there but also have some really good beer!

I was there with Vittoria, Berlin and Kelvin but due the usual massive jam in KL, we got there slightly late but nevertheless still got to enjoy the night with other bloggers :)

We had a look at the menu and look at the amount of food we ordered!

Calamari Scampi Salad - Fresh, chewy squid, tossed with lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, chilli padi, onion rings and freshly squeezed lime juice. If you're a fan of seafood and Thai food, be sure to try this!

Bean Curd Pork - Marinated with fragrant red bean curd and deep-fried to perfection. A must for all pork lovers!

Fried Pork, which is fantastic to go with beer!

Grilled Chicken Chop - Juicy, butter-grilled boneless chicken leg, served with crispy French fries and fresh side salad with black pepper sauce.

Spaghetti with Mussels and Tomato Sauce, which Vittoria really love it!

We also had 'Yin Yong Noodles' but had whacked them before remembering to take a photo. So much food for the 4 of us I must say but we couldn't help ourselves, the food were really good, so good that my photos did not do them justice. You have to be there to try them out yourselves! Especially pork lovers, REJOICE!

Although it was my first time stepping into outlet of OverTime in Pavilion, I must say, it's a really nice place to just sit and chill, spending some time catching up with your friends with your fave food/ snacks and most of all your favourite beer, Starker and with a live band. What more can you ask for?

Girlfriends

I haven't been blogging for the longest time it seems, so here I am, sitting in front of my laptop, but this time around, it's not about birthdays/ trips/ pic spam post or stuffs like that. Something that I've kept inside for a little too long now. I always thought it's not wise to blog about something so personal, especially talking about my feelings cos you wouldn't know who is watching. But I haven't been doing this in the longest time, I've been neglecting my feelings, people are gonna judge no matter what and I figure I deserve a post about this, just to let everyone know that the person who laughs the most, goes home and die until the next morning.

What used to be just turned sour.

Am I okay? No I'm not okay. There are so many thoughts buzzing through my head that I can't even concentrate. I feel so horrible that it hurts to smile, so I can't fake it. Not today. I'm trying so hard to hold back all these tears that are just waiting to burst out.
Yeah, I'm just tired.

It's thoughts and sinking feeling like this in the middle of the night that kills you. So tired of these inner bullshits.
If I could rip my heart out and have it trampled until it beats no more, I swear I would.

I'm not gonna beat around the bush this time, I'm gonna admit it, I'm just... sad.

As the title said...... I know this blog has been dead for quite some time but don't worry, I'm not gonna write a whole essay on what have I been doing. As usual, the lazy way. Food Adventure in Penang, Day Two

Hiak hiak hiak.. Someone slap me please, finally blogging about the second day of my Penang trip after 1.5 months back in KL -_-

We skipped breakfast on the second day. Overslept (xi guan jiu hao la..) And instead of chasing bus and cabbing everywhere, we managed to rent a car there. Such a hassle cos it's all so last minute and every car rental company only accepts credit card.. then we (finally) found one who receives cash. HALLELUJAH~

After getting lost while searching for this femes char kuey teow at Lorong Selamat.. finally we're here! The girls were buying fruits to sustain hunger cos we waited an hour for...

Walau orgasm orgasm orgasm look at those big, juicy prawns! Slurrrrrrrrrrrrpss~

It's run by two sisters and people are actually queuing for seats despite it costs RM9.50 per plate.

After having 3 plates, off we go to hunt for cendol. Traffic was terrible that day, got lost for an hour plus and ended up going round and round but we finally found it! *tears of joy* (plus the weather was really bad!!)

Based on Foursquare *cough* It's Penang Road Famous Teochew Cendol (Lebuh Kweng Kee, Off Penang Road)
They had 2 stalls there though and both were crowded so we ordered from both sides to have the best of both world hehehheh *greeds*

We also had Laksa and Prawn Mee at this small coffee shop next to those cendol stalls. Our mouth really..... cannot stop at all! But the laksa was nothing compared to the one at the foot of Kek Lok Si :(

Didn't really fancy the noodles... while waiting for the rest to finish them up.

It was about 4+ and we wanted to go to Gurney Drive but it was too early, settled down at Gurney Plaza instead and

saw Harientha there!! Fave girl ♥ which I seldom get to see her cos she's from Penang :(

After roaming around, hiak hiak hiak hiak... more food @ Gurney Drive!

To this!! (makan since the sky is bright till it's dark) We had so much more food but didn't managed to take them cos we were all too busy whacking them up -_-

Next stop, Straits Quay. We had no idea where else to go :(

They have lots of cafes and bistros and bars and some shops for shopping and some ships. Super crowded, everyone seem to love it there but it was a different story for me :\

I'm the designated driver! Drove and got loss countless times the entire day but it was all worth it for the food... Anything.... for... food... Went back to the apartment, bbq marshmallows only to find out we're actually poisoning ourselves to death -_- ; caught a movie on HBO ; pillow talk with the girls till seven in the morning.

Food Adventure in Penang, Day One

About three weeks ago, I had a short getaway to Penang with 4 other college mates. It wasn't my first time to Penang actually, been there several times already but since I'm on my 3 months break... why say no to food heaven?! It was the main reason we're there actually wtf

45 mins flight from Kuala Lumpur at 0645 means no sleeping the night before until we reached Penang, went around the whole day and only got my decent sleep at night. SAN FU! :(

About 9 in the morning and feeling extremely grumpy cos we had some serious transportation problem! Endless inquiring about transports, ended up taking bus and taxis to our apartment which took us about 3 hours.

Oh sweet joy. Cannot contain my excitement once we've reached our apartment! Bed............ So soft.... So comfy... Ahhhh..........
Anyway, we stayed in Sri Sayang Resort Service Apartments located at Batu Ferringhi. That's the view from our balcony, we're just opposite the beach :D

After getting a VERY LITTLE amount of rest, clean up and all, off we go for our food adventure!

Still grumpy cos I still didnt get to sleep! :( We were under the hot sun, relying solely on public transports on the first day. Chasing and waiting for the bus and all. Total spent on public transport alone on the first day for the 5 of us, RM135+ -_____-

First stop, Lam Hong Hainan Chicken Rice, located along Penang Road where it was about 1.30pm in the afternoon when we arrived.
I call it The Slaughtering House. Reason being the workers inside just bring lots of food that we didnt't order to our table. Tau fu poks, lobaks and even otak otak which they even open and threw it on the table for us -_- whereas we only ordered chicken rice and bean sprouts leh uncle!

Nah you see I never bluff you guys one! T_T Really slaughter us kao kao. Even the table is too small to put everything up, had to cram ourselves -_- Everything was about RM75. First stop already got slaughtered, k thanks alot ah what a way to welcome us to Penang.

After our full but not so satisfying lunch. (L - R) Cherry, Kit Inn, Belle, fat girl says hi.

Next stop, Kek Lok Si Temple. We were actually only targeting the Asam Laksa at Air Itam at the foot of Kek Lok Si.

Thick delicious sauce made with mashed fish! Cannot believe this is actually only RM3. So much 'liao' somemore leh!

Had a quick tour in Kek Lok Si after that. Been to this temple soooooooo many times I couldn't even remember.

Automatically attracted to this on first sight. So colourful!

And they're actually 'Wishing Ribbons', where you get one of these, write your name and hang it up right there.

So I bought like 5 of them (not only in blue of course!) and hang it as high as I could -_-

Finished touring Kek Lok Si Temple around 6pm and took bus back to our apartment. It was crazy to be under the scorching hot sun, chasing the bus and yet it doesn't stop for us T_T Wtf I hate all of you :'( We got back to the apartment anyway, rested a while and headed to this night market at Batu Ferringhi.

We thought of having some street food but turns out to be that night market only sells souvenirs, cetak rompak LV, Gucci and clothes. No food! T_T and then we found this (somewhat) food court.

Chinese New Year in Beijing, Day Five

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII I'M BACK FROM THE LONG HIATUS! Was so busy and caught up the last month and finally free now, for a good 3 months of holidays ;) Decided to FINALLY blog about the last part of my vacation to Beijing which I was there for this year's CNY and which has been dragged on for I don't even know long -_-

In case y'all need a recap *blame me for dragging it sooooooo long everyone's prolly forgotten T_T

And finally, this is the fifth day. I sweaaaaaaaar waking up in the morning is such a challenge there. So comfortable and the weather is starting to get better, 5 degrees rather than -4 :)

So lazy to go around looking for food therefore, had Starbucks for breakfast which was just opposite our hotel. So convenient!

After visiting places like The Forbidden City, Great Wall Of China, The Bird Nest, Temple of Heaven etc during the past few days, there aren't much tourist attractions in Beijing for us to visit anymore..... Decided to head on to Summer Palace for more historic stuffs.

Upon entering the Summer Palace. It is the largest and best-preserved garden in China, has a history of over 800 years and was also used as a summer residence by China's imperial rulers.

Happy family :) Behind us was the Yu Feng Pagoda (try spotting it!) on the Longevity Hill.

I think inside is where the emperors rooms are as the Summer Palace was actually built so the emperors can live there in the summer. We're not allowed to enter in their room though :(

We got so bored listening to the tour guide talking and explaining endlessly about Beijing's history :O

So I forced my brothers to take out their newly bought shuttlecock (some kinda sepak takraw thing in which is very famous in Beijing but it's feather instead of a ball) for me to 'test my skill'. My very first kick and I've ruined it -___-

As we were walking into the garden, I saw this really huge tree which instantly reminds me of..

Entering another hall and we were greeted by a huge amount of crowd! Wondering what are they doing over there and then I saw these errrr I don't know what you called them... is it handmaidens? (dayang-dayang) doing some traditional dance (those you can see on tv also!) So crowded!

Went into this 'mini museum' inside and saw this photo framed up. Wow women from the past really do like like men! Not I anyhow say one leh even the tour guide said so! Hahahaha.

The Long Corridor which was first built in 1750 and is famous for it's length (728m) and it's rich painting decoration (more than 14,000 paintings!)

The Marble Boat, also known as Boat of Purity and Ease, was built in 1755 but was burnt down in 1860, and then rebuilt in 1863. It's some pretty famous boat in Beijing/ in the Summer Palace I guess, heard lots of people talking about it before we saw the boat.

Took about 3 - 4 hours to finish touring the Summer Palace.

Lunch at this place and I can't read Chinese words :(

It was pretty fanciful inside. Look at the deco! And the waiter's uniform.. So traditional. Quite paiseh I kept taking picture of the waiter, not because he's super good looking or what but cos I wanna show y'all his uniform! Got other waiters/ waitress wearing different colour somemore leh.

When I hear the shutter sound and demanded for second shot. Hahahaha.

After lunch...

Can you believe these Chinese peopleeeeeeee.... making money with stuffs like this. The thing they're sitting on is actually man made and the ice below it it's natural (due to the weather) wanted to give it a try actually hahahaha but afraid they might crack anytime :(((

Was strolling around and then we saw this! HUUUGGGEEEEEEEE COTTON CANDY!! So excited cos I have a sweet tooth! And I don't see anything like this back in KL. Wanted the pink one but Mummy said there's so much colouring -___- So huge ok 10x the size of my head and they made a fresh one for us :)

Then we're stuffed and gave Daddy the rest. Happy Father's Day btw hahaha.

Went back to the hotel, took a rest, next morning, had buffet breakfast provided by the hotel and flew back to Malaysia.

Chinese New Year in Beijing, Day Four

2 months passed and I'm still not done with my Beijing trip post. But must look at the bright side also la cannot always so negative, my forth post (and also my second last post!) on this trip ehehehehehehheheheehehhehe.

So the fourth day, we went to the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial from the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. Altogether 24 emperors lived there. It's also served as home/ ceremonial/ political center for the emperors for almost 500 years.

So historical. Something like stuffs you see in the famous TVB drama, 公主嫁到.

While waiting for our tickets to enter, first thing you see when you get there. Humans, humans and humans.

Queuing to get in. Omg look at the queue! Who could've guess there would be so many people?!!

But anyway the queue was pretty fast lah got in in less than 3 minutes.

The first hall we see when we got in, The Hall of Supreme Harmony. Freaking hugeeeeeeeeeeeeee. It's the largest and rises about 98ft above the level of surrounding square. This was used only for ceremonial purposes, eg: imperial weddings.

'PEOPLE MOUNTAIN PEOPLE SEA'

(L) - Looks like the emperor's bathtub. (looks like only la not sure if it is :O)
(R) - Dragon in a tortoise body which symbolizes career luck and longevity to Chinese.

As I said, it was really huge inside.. we about 4-5 hours (eventually got bored also la fml) walking and exploring. It didn't look that big from the outside but looks like I've underestimated it. Anyway as we walked in..

SUPER SPACIOUS! Must be the place where the gundiks stayed. Looks like the scene from your TVB drama anot?!!

This is the Hall of Central Harmony, built in 1420. It is used by the Emperor to prepare and rest before and during a certain ceremony. Wanna know what's inside? Nah go push with them first la wtf.

Kidding. I used my time to take pictures of myself while waiting for the crowd to move over. Look at the amount of crowd behind me wtf super packed! Thank God The Forbidden City is huge!

OK FINALLY I GET TO HAVE A LOOK. Inside the Hall of Central Harmony.

It is said that by touching the dragon carving on the window of the Hall of Central Harmony brings you luck. Guess some people wants too much, took a small part of the dragon back with them somemore -.-

More walking! Wah the crowd...... eventhough it's super spacious inside but the crowd is everywhere.

The Inner Court of The Forbidden City. It's the home of the emperor and his family. In Qing Dynasty the Emperor lived and worked here while the Outer Court used only for ceremonial purposes (didn't attach a picture of the outer court cos I can't tell which is which! T_T)

IM THE ONLY ONE SMILING SO WIDELY COS................. MAKAN TAIME!!!! Yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes taking a break from all these historical stuffs.

Went into this shop (and only food & beverages shop) inside The Forbidden City and super disappointed :( All snacks and instant stuffs only.

After lunch, went out and this is what we saw. Even more crowded walao it's Chinese New Year wey what you guys doing here you all Chinese no need go for visiting one ah?

Finally leaving after hours! Eh harro uncle I'm not taking you also don't have to pose and wait for me la you spoiling my picture only :(

There's so much more photos I took inside but couldn't upload and blog it all cos..... I sorta forgot the buildings, which is which etc. Chinese words blind :(

Settled down for a proper meal after that.

LUNCH NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOMS! We had 12 dishes for 7 people. Crazy or what?!! Portion was pretty big and really satisfied! Finally some good food. NOMS!

Next stop after lunch was Beijing Zoo. Abit weird to be going to the zoo, been to the best one already in Singapore (Night Safari) y'all must go ok if you're in Singapore. Best zoo ever. Only opens at night and the animals aren't in cages! Okok, back to the Beijing Zoo. Main purpose was to actually see the Pandas. Panda's are the most endangered species despite all the efforts to protect and conserve their environment :(

But since you really move non stop and super hard to get a shot of you posing so nicely, post one up la wtf.

HARROW PANDA!!! The green thing is actually his poop wtf. Really lazy animal. Even pooping also gotta lying down. Anyways, all the pandas I saw inside is either lying down or eating. Confirm lazier than me. At least I don't lie down when I poop ok wtf.

Didn't walk around much in the zoo. Main purpose was to see Pandas only, after seeing straight went off wtf.

Some street (forgot the name cos I duno Chinese! T_T) selling really cheap stuffs and lot's of sugar-coated haw sticks. Most of the shops didn't open though, still in CNY mode must be. Btw China kids look super cute lor. That small boy was helping his mum in her stall at such young age. Abit kesian cos he kept crying somemore -.-

Went back to Wang Fu Jing to do a little bit of snack shopping. It was only around 6 and the sky is all dark already.

Dinner. Told you I had Mc Donald's every single day I'm there.

There is a Mysterious Symbol Everywhere!

This is so weird and strange that I had to blog about it! Recently, I kept seeing this mysterious symbol everywhere I go. I thought it was some kind of illusion or maybe I was too tired or something but nooooo, they're everywhere! If you did follow me on Twitter, you'd know just a few days ago I was at KLCC for 'Sucker Punch' screening from college and guess what?!!

The mysterious symbol was there again! This is starting to really get to me and immediately I search about it and I found the picture above. Do you see it? Right there. Turns out I'm not the only one who's been seeing this around KLCC but the thing is I've been seeing symbols like that everywhere and it's freaking me out :( Am I turning abnormal to be seeing things like these? Getting really worried here...

So I was at Beijing for Chinese New Year for about a week (which is like 2 months ago wtf blogging about this trip is taking me forever) Day One / Day Two and finally I'm at day three! To be honest, the third day was prolly the 'fun-nest' day of all days. We're never early even though we slept around 10 every night there. Anyway, was craving for dumplings and their 'xaio long bao' again so everyone must makan with me hahahaha Mummy got so sick of the dumplings and 'xiao long bao' until she cannot tahan the smell -_- It's famous there what no meh :(

Did I mention the shop lots in Beijing is really, really small?

Their 'Xiao Long Bao' in Beijing is really different than those you normally have in Malaysia/ Din Tai Fung etc and not to mention, really cheap too! 10 pieces for only RM4. In Malaysia RM4 you can only get 3 pisang goreng wtf and we had 4 baskets of these! Yum!!!

After filling up our stomach and a pretty long ride,

We actually went to the Great Wall of China!!! Nothing to shout about but yup, one of the seven wonders in the world. My dream now is to go to all seven of the seven wonders in the world! 1 down, 6 to go :D More history. Like in your Sejarah textbook lor what else.

The Great Wall of China was built more than 2000 years ago to protect China from the invasion of Mongolia. The small holes on the wall is designed for defenders to shoot arrows and cannons at enemies from the great wall. My Sejarah also quite good one leh ahahahahha. And the length of the great wall? 8,851.8 kilometers. Mind.Blown the first time I read about it when I was about 13.
It's the largest man-made structure and is visible from space! Got photograph from the internet as proof somemore. Mind.Blown x 2 or what!?

As the saying goes, "He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true man" to which the males in my family responded, "Challenge accepted" wtf

I walked like less than even 5 kilometers and stopped right here. Stamina not good what to do :( Can see it's so much longer to go and it's getting steeper and steeper so the tour guide, mummy and I actually sat down there while Daddy, Daryl & Shaun continue climbing all the way up.

Spotted these really cute China dolls on the way down. Some obsession over them! The seller wants to sell us at RM35 each wtf negotiate kao kao at bought them at only RM8 each! I now have 15 of them. Super colourful and cute!!

The great wall took all of our energy and we're hungry again! Like really, really hungry so we went to this 24 hours fast food restaurant for lunch. Fast food as in not junk food but something like instant stuffs.

Again I must satisfy my craving and obsession over dumplings!! There's 'Char Siew Pao', (Cantonese Barbecue Pork Buns) 'Har Gaos' (Shrimp Dumpling) some rice and stuffs and ice cream with chocolate syrup which tasted sour instead of sweet.

After our not so satisfying lunch, next destination was Beijing National Stadium, where the 2008 Olympics were held. Also known as the 'Bird Nest' cos..... the stadium itself really look like bird nest what! lol.

See the resemblance? It's really huge and very pretty too!

The Water Cube. Got this picture from Google cos the sky was still kinda bright when I was there and they didn't turn on the lights. Not colourful. Plain, boring, ugly, blue. Anyways, the Water Cube was one of the two main venues for the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. In case you didn't know, Water Cube is for swimming, not playing golf inside or sumo wrestle etc.

Chinese New Year in Beijing, Day Two

So I got bored and lazy to continue updating on Beijing post :( But it's up now! Finally making the effort after dino years. So the second day was... Ok honestly, truthfully, it's the most boring day of the entire 6 days trip. Boring places, boring history and all don't say I never warn you ok even boring ugly pictures lol.

So we got up early in the morning (8AM LEH DAMN EARLY!!) and headed to The Temple of Heaven. Yup, places you go in Beijing are places like this. Don't even bother expecting shopping because you'll only end up really disappointed. Like me -.-

Nah show you a gambar of Beijing Ah Peks. Not Ah Peks la more like old people who's gathering along the entrance of Temple of Heaven. It's like their routine there, playing Chinese Chess and all.

That stuff with colourful feathers are called Shuttlecock. No la you don't hit it with a badminton racket. Instead you play it like Sepak Takraw. We bought plenty of it! Both brothers got so addicted -_-

This is a place where the emperors of Qing and Ming dynasties would make offerings to heaven and pray for good harvest.

Ok panorama shoot. Both the buildings on the left and right are some museum about stuffs the people of the older days used to sacrifice to The God of Heaven, how to sacrifice, stages, types of jades and so on. You get the idea.

This is where we made our exit. Walan. Really long and far lor. No wonder China is damn big wtf. Anyways this place also got history ok. I know you must be thinking "whuuuuutttttttt?" but yeah -_- I couldn't remember much though but there were three separated areas: left, right & middle and only the emperor could walk in the middle. No one else but the emperor.

2 plates of dumplings, 5 plates of fried rice and some friend string beans nomnomnomnomnomnoms!As usual, the food is really cheap. Around 80+ Yuan only which is RM40+ here in Malaysia!
After filling up our tummies, we headed to The Tiananmen Square. Nothing one. Just a really, really huge space in a square shape. Okla, it's actually the largest city square in the world.

The Tiananmen Square covers an area of 440,000 square meters. Guess how many people could fit here. 1 MILLION PEOPLE! *gasp like a jakun wtf* It's so huge that the photo doesn't do it justice. Anyway it was so freeeeaakinnnnnnnng cold I swear I thought I was gonna die there. Can't even open my eyes when the wind blew and we had to walk opposite direction from the wind.

Nah show you even my face is swollen and skin began peeling off due to the weather :(
Since there is nothing much there besides ample space, I kept bugging everyone to go somewhere else. There isn't anything, not even a single building to block the wind there so you imagine how la ok in -5 degrees somemore wind keep blowing non stop.
Next attraction we wanted to go was The Forbidden City but it was closed :( Went to Beihai Park instead. Everywhere looks the same to me plus I can't read Chinese sucks so bad. Sooooooooooooooo bad.

Headed back to Hotel after that as many shops were not open cos it was Chinese New Year eve. Talk about CNY there in Beijing..... It's like a war zone! Fireworks started as early as 8pm already and it was non-stop until I went to bed and woke up around 4am cos of the noise.

Seriously the whole town is filled with fireworks. Don't blame me for the ugly photos though, it was all taken in the hotel room with the window closed. I did went down to kepoh abit but it was too scary for me :( Walked halfway and suddenly something from the ground shoots up. Cars alarms kept going off somemore. I gave up :(
BUT IT WAS FUN TO WATCH. FOR HOURS & HOURS THEY KEPT PLAYING THEM UNTIL YOU WANT THEM TO STFU ALREADY AND GO TO SLEEP. UNLIKE IN M'SIA, WHICH LAST NOT EVEN 30 MINS.

Chinese New Year in Beijing, Day One

I'm finally updating about my Chinese New Year trip Beijing! After 2 weeks back in Kuala Lumpur. Flight was at 12 midnight, 1st of February and about 6 hours long! Ahhh, the horror. Never like long flights because this is what you get....

BOREDOM! Which lead to camwhoring....That's my second younger brother, Shaun btw damn poser sial that fella.

Really cannot stop camwhoring ler when everyone's sleeping and there goes my camera shutter sound.

It was a pretty long flight so food were provided! (prolly my fave part in the plane lol)

We took the Malaysian Airlines and who say food on plane taste bad? You give me yours ok next time.

Finally....... around 6.15 in the morning after the 6 hours of long flight and sleep that lasted not even 2 hours on the plane, BEIJING HUAN YING WO MENNNNN! (reached our destination) and you know what's the temperature in Beijing? -5 degree. I swear I was shaking like some dogs shitting razorblades. No need shisha also got smoke ok when you talk lol.

Checked into our hotel, Park Plaza located at WangFuJing

and Starbucks was just right opposite! Everyone had their signature hot chocolate due to the weather and I must say, I think their hot chocolate there is better than Malaysia's :(

Stopped by at one of the restaurant along the street for breakfast ok fml I can't read chinese what does it say ?

Had Xiao Long Bao and some dumplings. Their Xiao Long Bao and Malaysia's one totally different. Dry like pau only while KL's one super juicy! But they're damn good ahahahaha I wanna have them everyday there. Not to mention, it's really, really cheap until I thought it was some joke -_- Forgot the price though but look at the price board, most expensive is 8Yuan which is equivalent to RM4. RM4 for 10 pieces of Xiao Long Bao/ 10 dumplings you tell me where to get in KL I follow you go eat ok :(

Super crazy packed until worse than sardines and you can't even move. Stuck there just like that. Imagine if you're stuck next to the chow tofu stall hahahahaha matilah engkau. But it's a good place to buy cheap souvenirs etc. Just remember to bargain! From 18Yuan that lady sold some stuff to me at only 4Yuan + free gift somemore ;)

Sugar-coated haws or better known as Bing Tong Wu Lou in Cantonese. MUST HAVE IT OK DAMN GOOD I LOST COUNT OF HOW MANY STICKS I HAD THERE PROLLY MORE THAN 10, you'll definitely see more of them in the next post/ future posts lol.

Got hungry again around 9 and jengjengjeng, MC DELIVERY! Yeng lor their service. Can't speak English but told me to 'press 2' for English. Someone came and attend to my order and scolded me just cause she can't understand English. Harrro I'm banana but my Chinese also more powderful than your Engrish ler. The way they treat their customers is really bad. Ugh. But guess what, I had 5 days in a row of MCD for supper there ahahaha.

Ok so..... I got my A Levels (AS) results last week. Didn't do good, felt like crap for the past few days and gotta work 500% more (which i hope i will or my life is screwed/ going down the drain wtf)

To be perfectly honest, I'm not really an active Nuffnanger. I've gotten my cheque few weeks ago and only attended the Glitterati+ Meeting some time ago (yes of so many events, only one!) So it's 2011 and I thought let's do something different, let's not be a quite, silent reader on Innit and laid-back, let's be activeeeeee! :D

AND THEN I FOUND THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY! :D
